United Against Cancer
"Live to learn. Learn to save" We are United Against Cancer, a University of Toronto student’s union (UTSU) recognized and funded education group devoted to raising awareness and informing the campus about cancer prevention, cancer research, and fundraising to support cancer efforts such as research and support to cancer patients and victims. We frequently collaborate with other student campus groups in joined efforts in our fight against cancer. Every year students unite together at the University of Toronto's annual Relay for Life in partnership with the Canadian Cancer Society to celebrate for cancer survivors, remember the victims of cancer, and fight back against cancer through fundraising and volunteer initiatives. Recent collaboration initiatives with other women cancer organizations (Canadian Breast Cancer foundation, Willows Breast Cancer support Canada) include the promotion of the CIBC run the cure 2011 at the University of Toronto, and Avon Every Penny Counts Campaign for Breast cancer.
